Research
Initiatives, organised around questions.
Names and scopes may change. Each initiative carries a clear status—and states plainly when no findings have been published.
- Active
- Producing results now.
- In development
- Being built and instrumented.
- Exploratory
- A question still under review.
- Archived
- Closed, and kept on the record.

How initiatives evolve
An idea usually enters as exploratory — a question we are still deciding is worth a full effort. If it holds up, it moves into development, where the instruments and measurements get built. Only once it is producing results do we call it active. Work that stops is marked archived rather than deleted, because a closed question is still a result. Most ideas do not make it all the way, and that is the process working.
